Discussion:
FVWM: fvwm.org domain renewal

Periodically folks have asked if they can donate to fvwm in some way. I
can't personally accept any donations and I would be shocked if anyone
else involved with the project were in it for the money. However, there
is one fixed cost which I have generally borne myself but which anyone
else is welcome to take care of: the domain registration. (You do not
generally need to own a domain to renew it; they'll take money from
anyone.)

fvwm.org is going to expire near the end of the year, and I'm happy to
take care of it as I generally do. It does, though, go without saying
that I certainly won't object if someone happens to take care of it
before I get to it. So if you feel compelled to help out in some way,
have at it. Visit https://www.gandi.net/domain/renew and enter
fvwm.org. (Yeah, that's probably not the best/cheapest registrar these
days, but it's been there since the dollar was worth something and I've
been too lazy to move it.) If it still needs renewal by Friday week
(the 16th) then I'll take care of it.

Thanks for doing this; I've gone ahead and renewed this for the next three
years. fvwm.org will therefore expire on 2014-12-29.

Hey, thanks for this guys: donation & work!

Also, I've got a (nice) screenshot of my new FVWM environment. Is there
a place I should send this too?

Regards
Axelle

Send it to me, and I'll upload it. If you can, include a short description
of your screenshot, and a link to your config (assuming you can host it
somewhere where the URL to that config isn't likely to expire anytime soon;
so not a pastebin link, for instance.)

Kindly,

Had it expired already? Or can you renew at any time?

I think you can renew at any time.
Your mail above said it was going to expire next year December.
Actually I tried 3 years ago to extend to 6 but my credit card
company didn't let the charge through. I called them this time.

I am Domain Reseller and have direct access to the German Registrar
Antagus. I could put fvwm.org into may account including DNS Service
for free.

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day/Evening
