I was having trouble with fvwm2 so I rebuilt the system with no window manger. I then used yum to install
fvwm2.

Now I am having trouble starting fwmw.

Do I need kde or some other window manager?

Thank you for your time.

No, that isn't necessary.

What error messages do you get? (Usually in ~/.xsession-errors)

Best regards,

Adam

Have you installed a graphical login screen like xdm, gdm, kdm?

If not:
- create a ~/.xinitrc and add 'exec fvwm'
- type in the console 'startx'

If:
- add in /usr/share/xsessions a fvwm.desktop file with the following
content:
[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=FVWM
Comment=ICCCM-compliant multiple virtual desktop window manager
Exec=fvwm
Terminal=False

You need to be more specific.

"trouble" isn't specific.
